Princess Purple Toe

Skylar the graceful one fell at VBS yesterday. Now her toe is all hues of purple.

First full day of summer. Full moon shining bright.

Relaxing. This is how I unwind at the end of the day. Reclined in a lounge chair, book in hand while taking in the view from my front deck. Sometimes I even get to enjoy the company of my dear sweet hubby. Good times.

Fort Cooper

The carefree days of youth.  The kids built this fort in the living room today.  Sometimes I wish I could build a fort and hide there for a few days. Think anyone would notice?

Follow Through

Let me jump up on my soapbox for a minute.  When you take on a position, whether you were asked or you volunteered, that requires you to be responsible enough to follow through with plans that you must make, then do it.  Don't blame those who might be above you for not making things happen.  If it is your job, then do it.  It is not always someone else's responsibility to take charge and make your ideas happen.  If all you want to do is come up with grand ideas and not follow through with them, then don't accept the position. And if you do accept the position, be willing to accept the blame for the job not getting done rather than trying to make someone else look bad.

Renewed

Finally renewed my library card today. I love to read and see no reason to pay for books when there are so many available from the public library.
